First Technical Problem at Ameerpet Station
• On 31st December 2017 of Sunday morning the Hyderabad Metro Rail (HRM) faced a first technical issue at Ameerpet station.
• The train is parked at ‘pocket track’ so as to check the technical issue & to give way for other trains which are coming from both the directions.
• Due to this reason the other trains from Ameerpet to Mettuguda were stopped for some time.
• In order to take the precautionary measure the HRM officials checked the tracks. The train resumed the operations after the fault was set right.
• Rumours were raised i.e someone has jumped on the track but, no such incidents happened on the tracks.
• Words by HRM Managing Director “it was due to a technical problem in a train at Ameerpet. It was safely taken to the nearby Prakash Nagar station. The train was parked at the ‘pocket track’ to give way to other trains coming from both directions. Hence, train movements were temporarily stopped from Ameerpet and Mettuguda.”
• The delay in the service caused angry tweets on Twitter. S. M. Ali wrote, “I am stuck at Begumpet station from 15 min, train is not moving. How can I raise a complaint and to whom? This delay is not acceptable.”
• And person Kiran Kumar: “We board metro to save time but the train got delayed by 1 hour 20 minutes at Ameerpet towards Nagole.”
