Miyapur Metro: Miyapur Metro Station
• The Hyderabad Metro Rail is the largest project in the world, which operates under Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode.
• All safety clearances have been obtained and L&T, the concessionaire, and the Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) are fully geared up for the inauguration.
• The inauguration is held at Miyapur Station on 28th November 2017 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 2:15 PM.
• This is the longest stretch for any metro in the country. Initially, the service to the public is started from 29th November 2017 i.e from Nagole to Miyapur.
• Each train would initially have three coaches with 57 coaches are available. In each coach, nearly 330 members can travel.
• Initially, the metro train timings are from 6 AM to 10 PM & would change from 5:30 AM to 11 PM depending on the traffic.
• The number of coaches will be increased depending on the traffic. At present 24 metro stations were opened.
• A smart card was launched for metro rail passengers and the card would be used for multiple modes of transport in future.
• A mobile app ‘T Savari’ is launched for the benefit of passengers.
• Next, to inauguration day more than 25,000 photos were captured by the public near Miyapur Station.
• The park and pylon near Miyapur metro station became the tourist spot for the local people and the public who are passing through the station.
• The roads are well laid by GHMC along with the marking paint so as to give proper instructions to the public.
• Proper ‘U’ turns were given in order to flow free of traffic at right junctions with the help of Hyderabad traffic police.
• This station has separate parking space for the passengers to park 2 & 4 wheelers.
• Near crowdy areas, the traffic signals were arranged so that the public should cross the road via zebra crossing.
• The RTC buses have separate lanes so that they need to stop in that lane & the public has to wait in that particular stops.
• Ads can be placed on metro pillars to grow your business. It is charged by the L&T.
• Pillar to pillar gap is filled with red soil so as to grow small flower plants & to represent the green environment.
• For each & every pillar, pillar numbers are given by L&T so as to easily recognise the address or landmark. Pillar numbers are stated as Location Name with Number/Alphabet.
• The metro fares are announced by the L&T based upon the distance.
